About

Hi, I'm Ori Loberbaum, a 22-year-old practically electronic engineer passionate about creating innovative IoT solutions.

SmartMails began as a journey of exploration and problem-solving. I began considering real-world challenges and how new technology could address them. That's when I came up with the idea for SmartMails—an amazing and unique concept that hadn't yet appeared on the market, something that could contribute to many people's lives.

The development process involved extensive learning and iteration. I started by learning Python and creating a GUI to test sensors and understand their behavior in different situations. I worked on wireless communication systems, developed mobile applications compatible with both Android and iOS, and created 3D models for custom enclosures. Throughout this journey, I encountered technical challenges, communication issues, and even had to rebuild circuits, but each obstacle taught me valuable lessons and led to improvements.

The final result is a polished, compact smart mail system that uses sensors to detect mail and alert users through a mobile app. The system is designed to be modular, allowing users to connect multiple boxes as needed. This project represents the culmination of my learning journey, combining electronics, sensor technology, wireless communication, and mobile app development to solve a real-world problem.
